I've seen streamers with like 7 items to switch when killing directors (lots of weapons, rings, etc.) Can you really need that lots of items to kill large end supervisors like AoD or Solak? I truly despise this shifting thing because it is annoying even to look at how half of stock is packed with gear instead of food. If this is necessary to be efficent, and I am not asking, I wish to know without having 6 items to switch between, if I could kill bosses.

For optimum dps you do need those buttons. You should not be using food. At solak it is super easy to use food that is totally minimal. You will have a hard time getting on teams in case you attract a lot of no buttons and food.
