The protectiveness of the coating under the atmospheric corrosion environment is mainly determined by the corrosion resistance or the aging resistance of the coating.</p> <p>Although the organic coating has the ability to isolate the steel from the external corrosive environment, there are usually tiny pinholes in the organic coating through which external moisture, steam, oxygen and various ions can penetrate into the interface between steel plate and coating. Under this situation, it can form a local battery and cause corrosion under the film.</p> <p>The organic coating will bubble when corrosion occurs under the coating film. The bubbling position is consistent with the position of the anode and cathode of the local battery, where the anode area is acidic and the coating tends to become brittle. The anode area is alkaline, and the coating softens and expands gradually, which make the adhesion worse. At the same time, due to the intrusion of water in the cathode domain, the bubbling is prone to grow up and rupture, which eventually lead to the large-area corrosion.</p> <p>The corrosion rate of the coated steel sheets is not only related to the physical and chemical properties of the organic coating, but also dependent on the gas, liquid and ion resistance of the organic coating. The corrosion reaction of steel in contact with water and air is the result of local battery action, which is the so-called electrochemical corrosion. The organic coating has the function of isolating steel from the external corrosive environment.</p> <p>When ions pass through the coating and penetrate into the interface between the steel and the coating to form a local battery, the high resistance of the organic coating is equivalent to the resistance of inserting a resistor between the two poles of the local battery, which makes it difficult for local current to flow, thereby hindering the steel corrosion.</p> <p>So, it can be seen that the anti-corrosion performance of the coating is closely related to the composition, thickness, uniformity of the coating, and the bonding force between the coating and the steel. Increasing the coating thickness and number of layers will reduce the actual tiny pinholes in the coating, which will also improve the corrosion resistance of the coating. For example, two times of coating and baking processes, or three times of coating and baking processes can be used to obtain excellent corrosion resistance coated steel plate.</p> <p>The anti-corrosion mechanism of coated steel plate is to isolate the substrate from the corrosive medium by the coating and to prevent the chemical or electrochemical reaction on the surface of the substrate from happening. Therefore, the anti-corrosion problem that we finally need to study should be integrated into the chemical corrosion and electrochemical corrosion of the coated steel plate substrate surface.</p> <p>2. HOW TO CONTROL THE CORROSION OF COATED STEEL SHEETS</p> <p>Based on the above-mentioned metal corrosion mechanism, people have been looking for effective metal corrosion control methods. For this reason, since May, the Chinese government has been ramping up measures to curb soaring prices in a bid to ensure market stability and discourage speculation and irregularities. Some abnormal market transactions such as price gouging and hoarding have been dealt with to the full extent of the law and brought to light.</p> <p>The National Development and Reform Commission of China (NDRC), together with other relevant government departments, successively held meetings with leading associations and producers in the commodity industry, reminded that participants with the market influence in the sector to operate in accordance with laws and regulations, track trends in the market and maintain price stability. Crude Steel Production Cuts</p> <p>As one of the largest carbon emitters among all manufacturing sectors, China's steel industry accounts for about 13% of the country's total. In response to the national decarbonization campaign, some Chinese steel industry giants have rolled out carbon emission reduction plans, vowing to reach the peak carbon emissions by 2025 and cut emissions from the peak by 30% in 2030, five years ahead of the general peak carbon emissions target proposed in China’s 14th Five-Year Plan.</p> <p>However, it will be hard for Chinese steel producers to cut production in the coming months because crude steel production from China climbed 13.9% Y-o-Y to 473.1 Mt for the first 5 months, a record high on the back of robust local demand and reasonable profit margins at mills, according to the latest data. This move will be the most direct way to achieve peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality.<br /> Thus, the pace of growth of China’s china steel coil production is expected to slow down as the government’s strict containment measures are likely to keep China’s steel output growth under check in the second half of this year. Among all hot-rolled products, only steel rails, wheels, and axles can still enjoy export tax rebates.</p> <p>As China promises to substantially reduce carbon emissions from steel mills in the next few years, the cancellation of export tax rebates is conducive to reducing China's crude steel production and encourage Chinese steelmakers to give more priority to the local market.</p> <p>However, as most cold-rolled and galvanized products still enjoy export tax rebates, the export volume has witnessed a significant increase in recent weeks. In order to balance steel prices and production, the Chinese government is very likely to further cancel export tax rebates for those products, and impose export tariffs for hot-rolled products, which will further support the further rise in China's steel export prices.</p> <p>Relying on the government’s measures to curb soaring prices, while stabilizing the market in the short term, will be hard to solve fundamental issues in the long run. Since the global market is in a stage where over-expansion of the money supply leads to increasing inflation. However, directly control the prices will only have an immediate effect, while from a long-term perspective, despite great efforts by the government side, cooling global steel prices requires a joint international effort.</p> <p>In terms of reducing crude steel output, there have been many rumours in the market, such as the implementation of production restrictions throughout the country and the reduction of crude steel output volume by 20 million tons or 25 million tons in the second half of the year. Notwithstanding rumours, the market generally expects that crude steel production will be strictly controlled, which will strongly support market sentiment and prices in the coming months.</p> <p>The export tax rebate for cold-rolled and galvanized products is likely to be cancelled after mid-July because since the cancellation of the tax rebate for hot-rolled products, the market has abnormally seen cold-rolled prices lower than hot-rolled products. On this basis, the expected measures may lead to an increase in steel prices, and achieve the goal of reducing steel exports by the government’s efforts. WHAT IS ZINC-ALUMINUM-MAGNESIUM COATED STEEL?<br /> Zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated steel, also known as ZAM coated steel, is an innovative steel finish with superior corrosion resistance. Initially, pure zinc alloys were mostly used to enhance the corrosion resistance of metal surfaces. With the continuous innovation of steelmaking technology, corrosion-resistant coated steels such as zinc-aluminum alloys and ZAM alloys continue to emerge on the market, which greatly enhances the corrosion resistance of steel surfaces.</p> <p>2. COMPARISON BETWEEN GALVANIZED (GI), ALUZINC, AND ZN-AL-MG COATED STEELS?</p> <p>Pure zinc coating is a kind of economical anti-corrosion coating, with a zinc content of not less than 99%. It can be further divided into galvanized steel with or without spangles, and these two types have almost the same level of corrosion resistance. However, if the steel plates need to be sprayed or painted later, those without spangles will have a more pleasant aesthetic. The thick zinc layer products usually have spangles (for example, the weight of the zinc layer is 275g/m2 on both sides).</p> <p>Aluminum-zinc coating is an alloy metal, in which the aluminum content is 55%, and the zinc content is 43.5%, with remaining component being silicon. Generally, the corrosion resistance of aluminum-zinc coating is 2-6 times better than pure zinc coating of the same weight. The surface of the galvanized steel coil can be modified by production technology to produce beautiful and uniform spangles, which can be directly used for exterior building or household appliances.</p> <p>But there are also some disadvantages of aluminum-zinc coating:</p> <p>First, the welding performance of the aluminum-zinc coating is not as good as that of pure zinc, so the welding process should be minimized in use;</p> <p>Second, the protection of the aluminum-zinc coating on the cut of the steel plate is less than that of the pure zinc coating, and far less than that of the zinc-aluminum-magnesium coating.</p> <p>The zinc-aluminum-magnesium coating has an excellent all-rounder performance. Its manufacturing cost is only slightly higher than Aluzinc coating, while its corrosion resistance is much better. SUPPLY AND DEMAND<br /> In the commodity market, everything follows the principles of economics - supply and demand.</p> <p>As the manufacturing industry booms, steel prices go up because more companies are in demand for steel under a limited supply. While the demand weakens, the balance of power shifts towards the steel users, and prices drop consequently.</p> <p>Another factor that we need to take into consideration, apart from the current supply and demand, is the market sentiment, which is how the investors also look at forecasts and trends to decide how much steel should cost.</p> <p>2.COST OF RAW MATERIALS<br /> Currently, iron ore and scrap metal are the 2 major raw materials used in the steelmaking process. That is to say, the production cost of steel is directly related to the prices and availability of iron ore and scrap. ANTI-DUMPING AND TARIFFS<br /> The rising steel prices in the global market is much related to the increasingly strict anti-dumping laws and regulations, with more tariffs on more and more steel grades.</p> <p>Back in a few years, China was largely responsible for a great proportion of the world's steel production, and the cost of steel was reduced globally. However, more and more countries like the US and the EU have since imposed anti-dumping duties to try to shift steel dependence away from China and back to local production.</p> <p>In response to the new anti-dumping laws and tariffs, China decreased its steel production and thus created a lower supply worldwide than there is a demand. Naturally, China's steel export to overseas also declined. Many steel producers worldwide are still behind in supplying sufficient steel to keep up with the market demands, which is why the lag in supply is driving up the price of steel.</p> <p>Another example showcasing how much tariffs can impact steel price and the economy as a whole, is Trump’s increasing tariff on steel products in the US imported from all countries.</p> <p>The US has always been far from being self-sufficient in steel, and imports over 30% of the amounts consumed. Given the industrial importance of steel, tariffs imposed on imports significantly increased the production costs for American manufacturers across a variety of industry sectors. Soon after the increased tariffs were announced, the price of steel in the US jumped to levels far above most countries around the world — a 50% premium over European prices and 80% over Chinese prices. FACTORS AFFECTING THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF COATED STEEL SHEETS<br /> The corrosion resistance of color coated steel sheet is usually expressed by the degree of corrosion damage such as loss of gloss, discoloration, chalking, fine cracking, cracking, blistering, and rust spots.</p> <p>There are many factors that can affect the corrosion resistance of coated steel sheets, which include the type of substrate of the coated carbon steel plate, the type of paint, the number and thickness of coating layers, the service environment of the coated steel plate, and the machining, transportation, and storage in the application of the coated steel plate.</p> <p>Solely based on the analysis of the principle of coating characteristics of the coated corrosion plate, the fundamental factors that determine the corrosion resistance of coated steel sheets are the structural characteristics of the coating and the corrosion resistance of the substrate. The protectiveness of the coating under the atmospheric corrosion environment is mainly determined by the corrosion resistance or the aging resistance of the coating.</p> <p>Although the organic coating has the ability to isolate the steel from the external corrosive environment, there are usually tiny pinholes in the organic coating through which external moisture, steam, oxygen and various ions can penetrate into the interface between steel plate and coating. Under this situation, it can form a local battery and cause corrosion under the film.</p> <p>The organic coating will bubble when corrosion occurs under the coating film. The bubbling position is consistent with the position of the anode and cathode of the local battery, where the anode area is acidic and the coating tends to become brittle. The anode area is alkaline, and the coating softens and expands gradually, which make the adhesion worse. At the same time, due to the intrusion of water in the cathode domain, the bubbling is prone to grow up and rupture, which eventually lead to the large-area corrosion.</p> <p>The corrosion rate of the coated steel sheet is not only related to the physical and chemical properties of the organic coating, but also dependent on the gas, liquid and ion resistance of the organic coating. The corrosion reaction of steel in contact with water and air is the result of local battery action, which is the so-called electrochemical corrosion. The organic coating has the function of isolating steel from the external corrosive environment.</p> <p>When ions pass through the coating and penetrate into the interface between the steel and the coating to form a local battery, the high resistance of the organic coating is equivalent to the resistance of inserting a resistor between the two poles of the local battery, which makes it difficult for local current to flow, thereby hindering the steel corrosion.</p> <p>So, it can be seen that the anti-corrosion performance of the coating is closely related to the composition, thickness, uniformity of the coating, and the bonding force between the coating and the steel. Increasing the coating thickness and number of layers will reduce the actual tiny pinholes in the coating, which will also improve the corrosion resistance of the coating. For example, two times of coating and baking processes, or three times of coating and baking processes can be used to obtain excellent corrosion resistance coated steel plate.</p> <p>The anti-corrosion mechanism of coated steel plate is to isolate the substrate from the corrosive medium by the coating and to prevent the chemical or electrochemical reaction on the surface of the substrate from happening. Therefore, the anti-corrosion problem that we finally need to study should be integrated into the chemical corrosion and electrochemical corrosion of the coated steel plate substrate surface.</p> <p>2. HOW TO CONTROL THE CORROSION OF COATED STEEL SHEETS</p> <p>Based on the above-mentioned metal corrosion mechanism, people have been looking for effective metal corrosion control methods. And after long-term practice, the following measures have been basically formed:</p> <p>When selecting metal materials, it is necessary to choose those that are resistant to atmospheric corrosion;</p> <p>When designing the structure, it is necessary to avoid cracks, grooves and other parts that are easy to accumulate water and cause corrosion stress cracking;</p> <p>Change the composition and add corrosion inhibitor to inhibit the corrosion process;</p> <p>Make anti-rust treatment before packaging, and keep dry and clean during storage. Cut edge cracking is caused by similar reasons as cold cracking from welding, including:</p> <p>hydrogen content cracking</p> <p>cut edge residual stresses</p> <p>a high carbon equivalent</p> <p>Cut edge cracking is also known as delayed cracking, as it takes from 48 hours to several weeks after the cutting for the cracks to show. It is a phenomenon closely related to hydrogen cracking in welds under thermal cutting methods.</p> <p>The likelihood of cut edge cracks to occur on your steel products will increase with the hardness of the steels and the thickness of the steel plates.</p> <p>WHAT CAN I DO TO AVOID IT?<br /> 1. Preheating<br /> Preheating before cutting is no doubt the best way to eliminate the risk of cut edge cracking. Preheating is most commonly applied prior to oxy-fuel cutting. It can be carried out by utilizing burner lances, electric heating mats, or by heating in a furnace.</p> <p>The preheating temperature depends on the steel grade and plate thickness. The required temperature should be measured on the opposite side from that at which heating takes place.</p> <p>Also, don't forget to maintain a low-temperature gradient across the plate cross-section in order to avoid local overheating at the contact area of the heat source!</p> <p>2. Low Cutting Speed<br /> If preheating cannot be carried out, maintaining a low cutting speed can be the best alternative option. Although slightly less consistent than preheating when it comes to preventing cut edge cracking, low cutting speed is still one of the most useful methods.</p> <p>If preheating is not employed, the maximum permissible cutting speed depends on the steel grade and the plate thickness. Therefore, we highly recommend a combination of preheating and low cutting speed for reducing further the susceptibility to cut edge cracking.</p> <p>3. Slow Cooling</p> <p>Regardless of whether or not the previous two methods are employed, a slow cooling rate can help reduce the risk of cut edge cracking. Slow cooling can be achieved if the parts are stacked together while still warm from the cutting process, and are covered with an insulating blanket. Allow the parts to cool slowly down to room temperature.</p> <p>4. Post-heating<br /> Another way to avoid cut edge cracking is to heat up the parts immediately after cutting. This will prolong the time at temperature to allow the hydrogen to escape from the steel plates. Born in 1973, Leung used to work in media and was once a senior publisher of a well-known steel industry news media before he joined CUMIC at the age of 36. Witnessing the tremendous growth and achievement of CUMIC in the past few years, Leung also integrates his career deeply into the development of CUMIC.</p> <p>Today, we sat down with Leung and had a delightful talk about his past, present, and future at CUMIC. We are thrilled to share his life and experience in CUMIC with you.</p> <p>Why steel trade?</p> <p>I joined CUMIC in 2010, when I had just turned 36. Before that, my career experienced a gradual pivot from media to the steel industry. At one of the major global steel industry news media, I climbed the corporate ladder from a content editor, to chief editor, then a senior publisher. That was also kind of a progression from mostly writing and editing to getting involved in a lot more advertising sales, business briefings, and media events. These tasks required direct communications with clients, and that's pretty much how I established relationships with a lot of these clients and accumulated my own customer base, which was exactly what I needed to get into steel trade. In general, I think my prior experience equipped me with sufficient skills to do sales and serve customers.</p> <p>Why joined CUMIC?</p> <p>Actually, I was referred by a former coworker who personally knew one of the executives. At the time CUMIC only had about 20 employees, but I immediately thought to myself, this looks very promising, mostly for CUMIC’s strong connections with a large number of steel mills.</p> <p>The team dynamics also looked great and everyone’s got their own unique competencies and skills coming from different backgrounds. At the time, joining just seemed like the right choice because of how my experiences and aspirations fit the company’s vision and values.</p> <p>Coming here was a huge transition that I was excited for, not only in terms of how I worked but it also changed how I lived. This isn't your typical 9-5 office job, but requires one to be active and constantly traveling, which can be both exciting and challenging. Actually, when I was 34, I first wanted to go study abroad, but I couldn't, for the concerns of my family, so instead I got into the global steel trade. For me this was an alternative path to experience the life I wanted, so yes, being able to often travel overseas for work was a huge plus for me. As soon as I joined, I found myself really enjoying this job. I was always the first to arrive in the morning and the last one to leave the office, out of genuine interest and passion.</p> <p>What factors contribute to the success of CUMIC?</p> <p>This question reminds me of an old Chinese saying that goes “right time, right place, with right people,” and this is exactly what I experienced at CUMIC.</p> <p>CUMIC was founded in 2006 when China turned to a net exporter from a net importer of steel for the first time in history. Thanks to this golden opportunity, the steel produced in China’s steel mills has been starting to win the world’s increasing acceptance. He’s a great communicator and motivator when difficulties occur, like when the industry took a hard hit in the first half of 2020, he would often talk about this movie called “Going Vertical”. It’s a very inspiring sports film about the controversial victory of the Soviet national basketball team over the U.S. Olympic team. In the movie, the Soviet team ended America’s 63 years winning streak in the final 3 seconds, and James would often use this plot as an inspiration to win our own battle against the pandemic, what we could do to turn the situation around when everything seems hard, and in the end, we actually did it.</p> <p>This takes more than courage and big talks, but the real work, expertise, and strategies to win. At the end of 2020, we even exceeded our own objectives set before the pandemic. If the initial growth of CUMIC in 2006 was about seizing the opportunity at the right time, our success in 2020 is a perfect testament to how long we’ve come and what enables us to evolve for the past 15 years.</p> <p>Why recommend working in CUMIC?</p> <p>In CUMIC, the company grows in step with your personal career. In fact, I think that incident even further strengthened our bond as teammates because it shows how we both put everything we had into this job, like everyone else here, who simply wishes to achieve excellence using their expertise, skills, and is genuinely open to different ideas, only for this one goal – to create value for our organization.</p> <p>How to keep a work-life balance?</p> <p>That is one of the reasons why I like CUMIC. CUMIC gives enough freedom to its employees. It’s a place where it’s easy for everyone to balance for themselves. From my perspective, I have the time hit the gym every day to stay energetic because I wish I could continuously work for CUMIC for another 30 years.</p> <p>Any suggestions for young people working in CUMIC?</p> <p>Do your best with what you’re supposed to do, but never be satisfied with that, and always go beyond. Knowing how to perform a task isn’t enough, and it’s figuring out how it really works that matters the most. Know the hows, but also further know the whys. WHAT IS ZINC-ALUMINUM-MAGNESIUM COATED STEEL?<br /> Zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated steel, also known as ZAM coated steel, is an innovative steel finish with superior corrosion resistance. Initially, pure zinc alloys were mostly used to enhance the corrosion resistance of metal surfaces. With the continuous innovation of steelmaking technology, corrosion-resistant coated steels such as zinc-aluminum alloys and ZAM alloys continue to emerge on the market, which greatly enhances the corrosion resistance of steel surfaces.</p> <p>2. COMPOSITION AND CLASSIFICATION OF ZINC-ALUMINUM-MAGNESIUM COATED STEELS<br /> Zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated steel refers to a coated steel in which a certain amount of Al, Mg is added to the existing hot-dip galvanized coating or a certain amount of Mg is added to the hot-dip galvanized coating. It has high performance of corrosion resistance and high trimming protection.</p> <p>A generalized analysis of magnesium-containing coated steel for commercial applications shows that the Mg content in most coatings is less than or equal to 3%. COMPARISON BETWEEN GALVANIZED (GI), ALUZINC, AND ZN-AL-MG COATED STEELS?<br /> Pure zinc coating is a kind of economical anti-corrosion coating, with a zinc content of not less than 99%. It can be further divided into galvanized steel with or without spangles, and these two types have almost the same level of corrosion resistance. However, if the steel plates need to be sprayed or painted later, those without spangles will have a more pleasant aesthetic. The thick zinc layer products usually have spangles (for example, the weight of the zinc layer is 275g/m2 on both sides).</p> <p>Aluminum-zinc coating is an alloy metal, in which the aluminum content is 55%, and the zinc content is 43.5%, with remaining component being silicon. Generally, the corrosion resistance of aluminum-zinc coating is 2-6 times better than pure zinc coating of the same weight. The surface of the galvanized steel coil can be modified by production technology to produce beautiful and uniform spangles, which can be directly used for exterior building or household appliances.</p> <p>But there are also some disadvantages of aluminum-zinc coating:</p> <p>First, the welding performance of the aluminum-zinc coating is not as good as that of pure zinc, so the welding process should be minimized in use;</p> <p>Second, the protection of the aluminum-zinc coating on the cut of the steel plate is less than that of the pure zinc coating, and far less than that of the zinc-aluminum-magnesium coating.</p> <p>The zinc-aluminum-magnesium coating has an excellent all-rounder performance. Its manufacturing cost is only slightly higher than Aluzinc coating, while its corrosion resistance is much better. In addition, it also has good performance to protect the cut of the steel plate, and the welding performance is equivalent to galvanized steels.</p> <p>Currently, application cases of the Zn-Al-Mg steel plates are emerging in the market. Dry corrosion and wet corrosion.</p> <p>II. Chemical corrosion, electrochemical corrosion, and physical corrosion.</p> <p>III. Pitting corrosion and stress corrosion fracture.</p> <p>1. FACTORS AFFECTING THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF COATED STEEL SHEETS<br /> The corrosion resistance of coated steel sheets is usually expressed by the degree of corrosion damage such as loss of gloss, discoloration, chalking, fine cracking, cracking, blistering, and rust spots.</p> <p>There are many factors that can affect the corrosion resistance of coated steel sheets, which include the type of substrate of the coated steel plate, the type of paint, the number and thickness of coating layers, the service environment of the coated steel plate, and the machining, transportation, and storage in the application of the coated steel plate.</p> <p>Solely based on the analysis of the principle of coating characteristics of the coated steel plate, the fundamental factors that determine the corrosion resistance of coated steel sheets are the structural characteristics of the coating and the corrosion resistance of the substrate. The protectiveness of the coating under the atmospheric corrosion environment is mainly determined by the corrosion resistance or the aging resistance of the coating.</p> <p>Although the organic coating has the ability to isolate the steel from the external corrosive environment, there are usually tiny pinholes in the organic coating through which external moisture, steam, oxygen and various ions can penetrate into the interface between steel plate and coating. Under this situation, it can form a local battery and cause corrosion under the film.</p> <p>The organic coating will bubble when corrosion occurs under the coating film. The bubbling position is consistent with the position of the anode and cathode of the local battery, where the anode area is acidic and the coating tends to become brittle. The anode area is alkaline, and the coating softens and expands gradually, which make the adhesion worse. At the same time, due to the intrusion of water in the cathode domain, the bubbling is prone to grow up and rupture, which eventually lead to the large-area corrosion.</p> <p>The corrosion rate of the coated steel sheet is not only related to the physical and chemical properties of the organic coating, but also dependent on the gas, liquid and ion resistance of the organic coating. The corrosion reaction of steel in contact with water and air is the result of local battery action, which is the so-called electrochemical corrosion. The organic coating has the function of isolating steel from the external corrosive environment.</p> <p>When ions pass through the coating and penetrate into the interface between the steel and the coating to form a local battery, the high resistance of the organic coating is equivalent to the resistance of inserting a resistor between the two poles of the local battery, which makes it difficult for local current to flow, thereby hindering the steel corrosion.</p> <p>So, it can be seen that the anti-corrosion performance of the coating is closely related to the composition, thickness, uniformity of the coating, and the bonding force between the coating and the steel. Increasing the coating thickness and number of layers will reduce the actual tiny pinholes in the coating, which will also improve the corrosion resistance of the coating. For example, two times of coating and baking processes, or three times of coating and baking processes can be used to obtain excellent corrosion resistance coated steel plate.</p> <p>The anti-corrosion mechanism of coated steel plate is to isolate the substrate from the corrosive medium by the coating and to prevent the chemical or electrochemical reaction on the surface of the substrate from happening. Therefore, the anti-corrosion problem that we finally need to study should be integrated into the chemical corrosion and electrochemical corrosion of the coated steel plate substrate surface.</p> <p>2. HOW TO CONTROL THE CORROSION OF COATED STEEL SHEETS</p> <p>Based on the above-mentioned metal corrosion mechanism, people have been looking for effective metal corrosion control methods. And after long-term practice, the following measures have been basically formed:<br /> When selecting metal materials, it is necessary to choose those that are resistant to atmospheric corrosion;</p> <p>When designing the structure, it is necessary to avoid cracks, grooves and other parts that are easy to accumulate water and cause corrosion stress cracking;</p> <p>Change the composition and add corrosion inhibitor to inhibit the corrosion process;</p> <p>Make anti-rust treatment before packaging, and keep dry and clean during storage. Take use of surface protective covering coating.</p> <p>In order to improve the corrosion resistance and special surface properties of ordinary steel sheets, various color coated steel sheets have been developed on the basis of ordinary steel sheets.</p> <p>The coating of steel plate can be roughly divided into three types: organic coating, inorganic coating and composite coating. Among them, the development of organic coating steel plate is the fastest. Organic coatings can be formulated into various colors and patterns, so they are usually called color coated steel plates.
