When the AC/DC integrated circuit (IC) is fully loaded, the PWM switching frequency is fixed; after the load is reduced, the green mode is entered, and the switching frequency will step down; during no-load and light load, it will switch the intermittent mode to reduce consumptions. Multiple control modes also can provide soft-start control that reduces MOS stress and frequency jitter control to obtain good EMI. The frequency of intermittent mode is higher than 22KHz without audio noise. To better fulfill a wide power range and more competitive cost, SCM3403ASA complying with TIA/EIA-485 is launched to be compatible with 3.3V and 5V powered.

The SCM3403ASA is half-duplex and low-power isolated rs485 transceiver with power, which the ESD protection of bus port above 15kV HBM and bus withstand voltage up to ±15V. It includes a driver and a receiver, both of which can be independently enabled and disabled. When both are disabled, they are a high-impedance output state. SCM3403ASA has fail-safe, current limit protection, and over-voltage protection.

The SCM3403ASA is half duplex converter and low-power RS485 transceiver, which the ESD protection of bus port above 15kV HBM and bus withstand voltage up to ±15V. MORNSUN launched a DC/DC power supply control IC SCM1101A, which has a power range of 5W to 40W. It’s widely used in the applications of industrial equipment, process control system, data acquisition system, etc.

SCM1101A is a secondary-side feedback control IC. It adopts current-mode PWM control mode which makes it ideal for isolated 5-40W DC/DC switching power supply such as instrument power supplies and isolated power supplies for communication. The maximum operating frequency can be up to 480KHZ with external resistors. To conserve energy under light load conditions, the green mode function continuously decreases the switching frequency, thus enabling the converter to maintain high efficiency over the entire load range. For optimized standby power consumption, the power supply enters into a burst mode under no load conditions.

The typical start-up current of SCM1101A is only about 1uA. To operate with the start-up ICs SCM9603B, a lower start-up voltage threshold can be achieved. The SCM1101A design also integrates a series of protection features that will enhance the power system’s reliability.
