キングコングの漫才について：
・コンビ結成2年目で第1回M-1グランプリで決勝進出（7位）を果たしたが，以降はテレビで活動の幅を広げたのに反して縁のない存在だった（第2 - 4回は準決勝敗退、第5・6回は参加見送り）。第7回には一転して参加（成績は決勝ファーストラウンド2位通過・最終決戦3位）し，「漫才師としての存在証明を見せる」ことをその理由としている。
