Basic technical principle of ultrasonic welding
Ultrasonic welding is to convert the current of a specific frequency into electric energy through the ultrasonic generator. In this process, the converted high-frequency electric energy is converted into mechanical motion of the same frequency again through the transducer, and then the mechanical motion is transmitted to the welding head through a set of horn devices that can change the amplitude. The welding head transmits the received vibration energy to the joint of the workpiece to be welded. The heat energy comes from a certain pressure. A workpiece moves back and forth with a certain displacement or amplitude on the other surface. Once the expected welding degree is reached, the vibration will stop. At the same time, a certain pressure will still be applied to the two workpieces to cool and solidify the just welded part, so as to form a close combination.
Influencing factors of ultrasonic welding pressure strength
If the chemical production materials formed by ultrasonic welding want to achieve the effect of complete melting, the key premise is to reasonably control the pressure strength of the ultrasonic welding system and fully ensure the firm connection of the melted welding production materials. However, in the whole process of ultrasonic welding, there may be high or low pressure strength of the welding system. Specifically, for the low welding pressure strength, the most significant consequence caused by the low welding strength is that the welded parts do not reach the degree of close combination, and the welding materials in the molten state cannot be firmly adhered. The above adverse welding treatment consequences can be called false welding phenomenon. In contrast, for the automatic control system of ultrasonic welding, if the welding pressure strength is adjusted to be too large, the risk of flash or deformation of the welding part will become higher. Therefore, it can be judged that the pressure strength of the welding head in the operation of the welding system will directly affect the forming effect and quality of welded products.
The fluctuation of welding head pressure will have an impact on the whole process of ultrasonic welding. Specifically, when selecting and setting ultrasonic material welding treatment parameters, technicians must strictly control the factors of welding head pressure, ensure that the measures and practices of welding head pressure adjustment are used to promote the close integration of product welding parts, and effectively save the time and cost of welding joint treatment.
