I had an opportunity to speak about the event that's set to be live streamed on the Twitch station, B/R Live and ELEAGUE of ELEAGUE on Friday day on Twitch with Frye. It is a great opportunity to try to merge the two worlds of basketball and esports, and to spend time with players who are early in their careers. I know you are a gamer as well. Tell me a bit about your experience with NBA 2K, and some of the other games you enjoy playing.

I have always been a gamer. To date myself, but I have played with everything from Super Mario, to Sonic the Hedgehog, to Sega Dreamcast and all the consoles which followed. For me, gambling is a way to not just be competitive, but to connect across the world and across different platforms. I feel like gaming has brought me together with buddies that are fantastic and made opportunities to collect people and have fun. When it's that the Wii, or somebody playing Mario Kart, it is just about having fun.

When you were active in the league, do you remember any of your teammates being really good at video games? Yes players. Quentin Richardson is excellent in NBA 2K. J.R. Smith is a Call of Duty phenom. I would say nearly everybody I played with had a game. Richard Jefferson and Gilbert Arenas are all'Halo-heads.' Every player I know has a game they perform during their free time.

What is amazing is that most of us are part of the NBA, but we have our gaming cliques. And you were, defined by these cliques, in a sense with regard to your life. For example, you could be a Call of Duty man, a man, an man, Rainbow Six, Madden, FIFA, the list continues. I know guys who'd observe other players' schedules so that they could plan a time to play against each other while on road trips.
