Working as the extra protection, thimbles are the essential end fittings to use together with steel wire ropes, PP ropes or cables to make hard eye and protect them from harsh abrasion during lifting, lashing and securing. The heart-shape design provide very quick and easy shape of the lifting loops by simply wind the ropes into the thimble groove. TITANSUHE wire rope cable accessories provide a wide range of thimbles that made of mild steel and stainless steel. When it is made of mild steel, the surface is zinc plated to increase it’s corrosion resistance durability. For stainless steel, we have 304, 316 and 316L material choice.

Assembly Instructions of Wire Rope Thimble
To speed installation, you can spread the thimble open slightly so it will pass over the ¼” thick wire of the large eye bolts and screw eyes. Make sure to close them after installation.

Precautions for use
When choosing an extra heavy duty cable thimble, wire thimble, rope thimble or light duty thimble for your application, it's important to consider what type of environment the thimble will be used in.

Use the stainless steel wire rope cable thimbles with the stainless steel net cables.

Use the zinc plated galvanized steel wire rope thimbles with the galvanized net cable. Zinc plated galvanized stainless steel or steel wire rope both can be used with poly based ropes such as nylon, polypropylene ropes.

Making sure that the stainless steel wire rope sling thimble is sized properly and securely fastened in the eye of the cable that is being used.
