For star-rated hotels, no matter what kind of outdoor light, the outdoor light style needs to be considered in combination with the overall style of the house, as well as the color of the lamp body, IP rate, and cleaning and maintenance issues, which will greatly affect the overall texture.

The IP rate is a more important consideration for outdoor light. The higher the IP rate, the better the dustproof and waterproof performance. Unlike the indoor lights, there is no roof outside to protect the lights from wind and rain, and they often need to be installed on the ground. Therefore, the outdoor lights in star-rated hotels must have strict dustproof and waterproof standards.

Outdoor light design should pay attention to the following points:

(1) Appropriate illumination

(2) Uniform tone

Outdoor light, such as outdoor led inground lights, generally uses warm color temperature or chooses a light source with high color rendering. It is not advisable to choose lights with too complex or too weird light sources.

(3) Anti-glare

Reasonable selection of light sources and lights for outdoor lighting is important, as far as possible for "visible lighting but invisible lights", and to avoid the unpleasant light pollution caused by the exposed light source.

(4) Cool tone light source

Different from led strip indoor, outdoor light, such as high-pressure pump light, has strong ultraviolet rays and is easy to attract mosquitoes. It should try to avoid using cool tone light sources for outdoor lighting, and orange lighting has weak ultraviolet rays which can drive mosquitoes away.

(5) Different lighting subjects with different emphases

For example, the shape of the water flow should be concerned when designing outdoor waterscape lighting. It is best to design lighting underwater to show the flowing feeling of the waterscape.

At the beginning of the outdoor lighting design for star-rated hotels, protection issues should be considered. In order to achieve rainproof, windproof and dustproof, the material of lights should be more durable to avoid accidental situations such as leakage, the lighting design and installation should also be combined with the surrounding roads, landscape and buildings, so as to achieve the unity of their functionality and artistry.
