Q) Who are barenbliss ? Please share some background of the company and the brand.
barenbliss（벨 엔드 빌리스）shorten as BNB is a fun and joyful K-beauty brand designed for global youth, created by Korean Makeup Artist Jina Kim (김진아). Since its launch in South Korea, the brand has gained beauty editor's award from Beauty+ and editor’s recommendations from GlowPick, Allure, based on its high-performance and attractive design. Going from "beauty in-joy" and brand's unique "B+N+B" Philosophy with Bare essentials, No harm, and Bliss moments, we are committed to create epic enjoyable and pay-off products. Q) Who is the founder? Can you tell us more background about founder?
JINA KIM (김진아) is co-founder of barenbliss. She has over a decade of experience as a makeup artist and the president of Kemosi International Makeup School in South Korea. She believes makeups always can bring magic and joy to all women. Her work has appeared in Korean and Chinese Vogue, ELLE, BAZAAR, as well as cooperative makeup artists of many famous Korean celebrities, Red Velvet, TARA, Sistar etc..

Q) What is barenbliss market positioning?
We conducted deep marketing research in Southern Eastern Asia countries, and found out local consumers are very interested in K-beauty but it’s hard to get products. We are delightful to bring our products from South Korea to South East Asian markets, stays rooted to its B+N+B philosophy so as to formulate products that will effectively accentuate every individual’s natural features and make K-beauty available to all.

Q) What is barenbliss strategy?
Our main investment continuously on our natural and safety beauty products with wild product portfolio, focusing on the mass market. And also we will concentrate on sales online through e-commerce platforms and partners. We are listening to our customers and their feedback. We wish to learn more about consumers' needs so we can better understand the market moving forward and develop products that are suited to our target consumers. Our products are consumer oriented products and it was successfully approved by consumers in South Korea. Our products have since won industry stamps of approval, acquiring multiple awards since its launch. We are proud of Berry Makes Comfort Lip Matte was recently awarded three distinguished awards—GlowPick Editor’s Recommendation, Beauty+ Editor’s Pick and Allure Editor’s Recommendation.

Q) What is the USP of your brand? What makes barenbliss stand apart from the other beauty brands?
We are dedicated to make ”beauty in joy” products in the Korean beauty space with makeup products that accentuate the fun, bright and youthful beauty in young people around the world. Based on our beauty philosophy “B+N+B” , we insist to use cruelty-free and harsh ingredients-free to create epic enjoyable and pay-off products.

Q) What does B+N+B philosophy mean?
It is a shorten name of Bare essentials, No Harm, Bliss moments ,which is our unique beauty philosophy in use of all products. Bare Essentials refers to the company’s policy of using only natural ingredients and deploying the latest technology in its products so as to not only not harm but also benefit the skin. All products are designed to balance skin surface pH. In addition, they are rich in vitamins, antioxidants and other nourishments. Beauty should not come at the expense of others. In line with its No Harm philosophy, bnb does not condone nor practice cruel and unethical practices in the making of its products and has banned more than 100 ingredients known to be harsh on the skin. Finally, beauty is beyond skin-deep with bnb. With awesome textures, luscious scents and thoughtful designs, the products invoke positive and happy Bliss Moments that stir up the beauty from within.

Among its range of products, BNB’s Berry Makes Comfort Lip Matte is undoubtedly the star product with three awards already in the bag. Coming in a convenient package of 3g and selling at only 8800 KRW, it is also dubbed the 24H [FruitBang] Silky Matte. The product’s Light-Gliding Formula covers the lips seamlessly with lightweight liquid particles. Comes in Berry Set, Pink Soul, Peach Around, Maple Mingle, Brown Avenue and Chapter Nude colors.

Q) What is the USP about this hero product?
The lip matte is inspired by mixed berry jam and summer sensations, allowing for a comfortable and moist matte look with an enchanting berry scent. The Australian Macadamia Oil used in the lip matte effectively nourishes the lip with high levels of Omega 7 fatty acids. Infused with E-Hyaluron, a powerful hydrator, the lip matte keeps lips looking plump up to 24 hours. The product’s Light-Gliding Formula covers the lips seamlessly with lightweight liquid particles. We are dedicated to provide K-beauty for all women worldwide, of course we care about our Muslim consumers as well. Our products are under strict manufacturing and production regulations following Islamic law have been adhered to and offer a guarantee that not only are wholesome ingredients used.

Q) Are the ingredients used in your products safe and natural?
At barenbliss, we guarantee ingredients of products are from safe and natural materials. We will never use any suspected of containing impurities that may affect safety or quality undergo processes such as purification to remove the impurities; only ingredients that have demonstrated safety are used.

Q) Are your products cruelty-free?
100% worry-free and cruelty-free formulation. We never allow more than 100+ known harsh ingredients into the skin such as paraben, alcohol, mineral oil, talc, sulfates, and more.

Q) Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
We aspire to create a positive impact by paving the way towards more and more sustainable beauty that’s accessible to all of us. We are also aiming for all of our plastic packaging to be made of recycled materials in the future.

Q) With a 24Hours effect claim, does your product contain alcohol, parabens or other potentially harmful ingredients (ie. To make the color stay longer)?
Barenbliss uses only ingredients that have undergone such careful selection. Under our unique beauty philosophy “B+N+B” , we conduct additional tests such as in-use tests and dermatologist-supervised patch tests to ensure that products formulated with such an ingredient are problem-free. All our products directly benefits your skin, such as pH-balancing formula, vitamins, antioxidants, and more. Also, We never allow more than 100+ known harsh ingredients into the skin such as paraben, alcohol, mineral oil, talc, sulfates, and more.

Q) Are your products dermatologically tested/approved?
Our commitment to safety for all products. We partner with authority organization that allow us to identify new ingredients or technology to enhance our products’ safety as we as it performance to ensure our ingredients are safe for all skin types.

Q) With your product affordable retail price, does that mean the quality/ingredients of barenbliss products are of more inferior quality compared to the more expensive brands?
We believe there is an opportunity in this price range. People want value-for-money and still demand a high quality beauty products. barenbliss focus heavily on safety and natural materials and even at our price-points consumers get a very high quality of products.

Q) Do you test your products on animals?
We guarantee that we do not do any test on animals.

We ensure that the ingredients are free from any animal derived ingredients.
