I really don't think that's necessarily correct. Earnings have stagnated/declined. EA does not care because EA makes money on microtransactions, therefore lower earnings do not necessarily act as immediate motivation for them. However, the NFL does maintenance. I really don't think the NFL opens the window for 2K to create a game again (even if it initially is not a sim) if Madden were still selling well. The Mut 20 coins has a lot to gain from NFL games reaching audiences, and a game selling badly using an exclusive rights deal doesn't do that for them.

Exactly. Was Madden 18. I played on and off when I wanted the fix and just got 20 after it was on EA pass. For every one of us, there's people may not dabble in MUT and without thinking, purchasing it. Then you've got the people dropping money on MUT and purchasing it.

Even aside from the men and women who pour money into it, to get each man who spends money on MUT twice or once, that is probably close to $40-$60 again they are spending and that another copy of Madden sold.

People are hooked on the MUT version as it functions in NBA 2k and even in the Show a tiny bit. The difference is that the Show seems to be at least making advancements or is already at such a level that is excellent that it is fine. Regrettably Madden found the version while they had/have the monopoly so the franchise style only got disregarded.

The Show's handling of Diamond Dynasty is pretty good IMO. I've never been big about these modes whatsoever and haven't even touched MUT, however I wound up getting quite a couple of DD cards at The Display 18 and 19 (haven't bought 20) since you earn the stubs to buy them as well as the cards themselves during regular match play, and you are able to buy/sell cards on an open market.
