アコード（ACCORD）初代 SJ/SM型

アコード（ACCORD）は、本田技研工業が生産する中型乗用車である。 1985年にレジェンドが発売されるまでは、同社のフラッグシップであった。

シビックと同様、横置きエンジンのFFレイアウトを採用している。更に、このクラスの車種で一度も消滅せずに存在している車種の1つである。

1976年5月7日に、1.6Lエンジンを搭載した中型の3ドアハッチバック車として、初代シビックを拡大したようなスタイルで登場。1300→145以来の3BOX4ドアセダンは、1977年10月14日に発売された。開発責任者（LPL）はシビックも手がけた木澤博司。シビックから上級クラスの車に買い替えるユーザーの受け皿となる車が存在していなかったことが、開発の理由と言われている。
好燃費・低公害車を主眼に設計され、アメリカ及び日本では、51年排出ガス規制をクリアしたEF型 1.6L 直列4気筒 CVCC SOHC エンジンを搭載した。
