The Working Principle of Steel Fiber
Fibers reinforce in three dimensions throughout the entire concrete matrix. Fiber performance is based on the combination of the tensile strength, aspect ratio(length/diameter) and anchorage. The distributed fibers restrain micro-cracking and redistribute accumulated stress caused by applied loads and shrinkage. The sooner the crack is intercepted and its growth is inhibited, the less chance the crack will occur.
