General Information of Beijing University of Chemical Technology

Beijing University of Chemical Technology was founded in 1958 as Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology. It is a high-level university founded by New China to "cultivate advanced chemical technical talents needed for cutting-edge scientific development".As a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, the key construction university of "Project 211" and " '985' dominant Discipline Innovation Platform", and the national "first-class discipline" construction university, Beijing University of Chemical Technology shoulders the mission of cultivating high-level innovative talents, basic, forward-looking scientific research and original high-tech development.
Beijing university of chemical engineering after more than 60 years of construction, has developed into a solid science, engineering strength, management, economics, law, literature, education, philosophy, medicine and other disciplines characteristic multi-subject key university, formed from undergraduate education to master, graduate, doctoral, post-doctoral station and students education multi-level talent training pattern. At present, the school has a total of 15 colleges, with about 15,300 full-time undergraduates, about 8,100 graduate students (including about 1,100 doctors), about 2,700 continuing education students for correspondence, night education, and about 460 overseas students.

International Exchange and Cooperation

International exchanges and cooperation of the university are becoming increasingly extensive. We will adhere to the strategy of "global development", improve the systems and mechanisms for international exchanges and cooperation, constantly improve the global cooperation network system, and focus on building the "Belt and Road".The university has established partnerships with 156 universities and institutions in 48 countries (regions), including the United States, Britain, France, Russia, Germany, Australia, South Korea, Japan and Italy. In 2020,33 new (continued) intercollegiate cooperation agreements were signed, with 14 new partners being added.It has 3 Beijing Joint Laboratory for International Cooperation (Research Center), 3 Beijing International Science and Technology Cooperation bases and 5 discipline innovation introduction bases ("111 Plan"); focusing on "advanced" talent introduction, 14 projects were approved by the National High-end Foreign Expert Introduction Program of Science and Technology; 18 foreign experts; actively promoting international exchange and 86 student overseas study projects with 61 universities and institutions in 18 countries (regions). We will continue to promote the "Beijing-World Top 100 Universities and 30 Universities", with 30 outstanding students funded by the National Overseas Study Fund to go abroad for doctoral study or joint doctoral training.
