1. Vortex flow

Vortex flow will directly affect the force to the turbine flow meter blade, resulting in the inaccuracy of measurement. The longer the upstream straight pipe section of turbine flow meter is, the smaller the influence of vortex flow on the instrument constant will have. Therefore, it is good to increase the length of upstream straight pipe to weaken the influence of vortex flow and ensure the accuracy.

2. Pulsating flow

Pulsating flow means that the velocity of fluid in the measurement area is a function of time, but there is a constant average value in a long enough period. The inlet pulsating flow will lead to positive error in the measurement results, that is, the measured value will be larger than the true value. When its pulsating frequency is less than the angular frequency of the impeller, the measurement results of the turbine flow meter will be close to the true value; When its pulsating frequency is greater than the angular frequency of the impeller, the measurement error will be unacceptable.

3. Viscosity

In the process of using the turbine flow meter, the different viscosity of measured fluid and calibrated fluid will also cause error. It is found that even though the viscosity of the measured fluid changes very little, the performance of the turbine flow meter will change greatly.
