The analysis of stainless steel forging process parameters is as follows:

1. Deformation temperature

The forging stainless steel process temperature range of most commonly used martensite, martensitic ferritic and austenitic stainless steels is:

In the range of 1180℃±20℃~860℃±40℃, the forging process temperature range is much larger than that of superalloy. However, 0Cr17Ni7Al, 0Cr12Mn5Ni4Mo3Al, 0Cr16Ni6, 1Cr18Ni11Si4AlTi, and 1Cr21Ni5Ti and other martensitic austenitic and austenitic ferritic duplex stainless steels and 1Cr17 ferritic stainless steel have a forging process temperature range than martensite, martensitic ferrite and The austenite is narrow, and individual steels (such as 1Cr21Ni5Ti, 0Cr16Ni6 and 1Cr17, etc.) are close to iron-based superalloys, and are basically in the range of 1125°C±25°C to 900°C±50°C.

The control accuracy of stainless steel heating temperature and final forging temperature is generally lower than that of superalloy, but higher than that of alloy structural steel.

2. Heating system

Since the thermal conductivity of stainless steel below 800°C is much lower than that of carbon steel and alloy structural steel, in order to prevent the roughness from cracking due to excessive thermal stress during heating, the stainless steel blank should be heated slowly when heated below 800°C.

3. Cooling

The cooling method of stainless steel hydraulic cylinder depends on the structure type of steel and the cross-sectional size of the blank, and the cooling method of stainless steel depends on the structure type of the steel and the cross-sectional size of the blank. The austenitic stainless steel is cooled in air after the forging process. Martensite, martensitic ferrite and high-hardness stainless steel should be slowly cooled after forging (such as gray cooling, sand cooling, furnace cooling or stack cooling). For austenite-ferrite and martensite-austenite duplex stainless steels, air cooling can generally be adopted, but large-size forgings should be adjusted appropriately.
