Ⅰ. The use and characteristics of slewing reducer

The slewing reducer is used to realize the slewing positioning of the goods and the crane, so it is an indispensable part of the crane and one of the most important basic mechanisms in the crane.

The slewing reducer is composed of a pair of worm gears and worms. The worm wheel has high strength and good wear resistance. The worm adopts high-quality alloy steel and hard tooth surface, which has high strength and good wear resistance. The shell parts are made of high-grade cast steel. A fixed amount of lubricating oil is added to the device, and no special maintenance is required except for regular oil replacement.

Ⅱ. Reasonable use and lubrication maintenance of slewing reducer

1. After installing the slewing reducer before using it for the first time, carefully check whether the slewing reducer is installed according to the assembly requirements.

2. Before using the slewing reducer, check whether there is a pin on the crane that fixes the turntable and is not pulled out. When driving, check whether the pin that fixes the slewing ring turntable is inserted to protect the slewing reducer from impact.

3. Lubricating oil should be checked and replaced regularly. The slewing reducer should be replaced with new oil in about 15 days when it is first used, and then replaced with new oil in 3-6 months according to the situation. The oil level of the lubricating oil reaches 2/3 of the side oil mark.
Note: The normal working temperature of the slewing reducer is -20ºC～+80ºC, and its working environment should be within the temperature range of -20ºC～+40ºC, and its rated load must not be exceeded during operation.

4. Storage of slewing reducer
If the slewing reducer is not used for a long time (more than 3 months), it should be stored in a dry, non-corrosive environment. Do not store it in a high temperature and -20ºC environment for a long time to avoid accelerated seal aging.
