INTRODUCTION TO THE PRODUCTION PROCESS OF METAL BADGE

As a badge manufacturer, Pinstar is obliged to introduce the basic production process of badge. After selecting the pattern of the badge, we need to understand the production process. The production processes of badges are all similar. Only some details need to be changed according to the characteristics.

Process 1: Badge designing. To generate 3D badge design drawings, 3D Max and other software are needed.

Process 2: Badge mold producing. The design drawing in the computer is printed on sulfuric acid paper in proportion. By exposing the photosensitive ink, the engraving template is made. And then the engraving template is carved by engraving machine according to the pattern on it. After engraving, the mold needs thermal treatment to enhance the hardness.

Process 3: Pressing. Put the heat-treated mold on the platen, and press metal such as copper or iron.

Process 4: Blanking. With the knife mold made in advance, the badge is cut down by punching machine according to its shape.

Process 5: Polishing. The badge freshly cut needs to be polished by the polishing machine in order to remove the burr of stamping, and improve the brightness of the badge.

Process 6: Accessories welding. Solder the back of the badge with standard accessories.

Process 7: Electroplating and coloring. According to the customer's requirements, we, the badge manufacturer, will plate the badge with gold, silver, nickel, red copper, etc. Also, the badge is colored according to the customer's preference. After coloring, the badge needs to be baked at high temperature to enhance the color fastness.

Process 8: Packaging. Packaging is divided into ordinary packaging and high-end packaging, such as brocade box. The badge is wrapped according to the customer's requirements.

How do you feel after having a basic knowledge of metal badge production? A minute on the stage takes ten-year practice. The badge, looks simple, is not easy to make at all.
