Plug valve is a closed piece or plunger-shaped rotary valve, by rotating 90 degrees to make the valve plug on the channel port and the valve body on the channel port connected or separated, to achieve the opening or closing of a valve.

Its plugs can be cylindrical or conical in shape. In cylindrical plugs, the channel is generally rectangular; in conical plugs, the channel is trapezoidal.
