Description of Double Offset Butterfly Valve:
ZECO double offset butterfly valve is further improved on the basis of single eccentric butterfly valve. The stem axis of single eccentric butterfly valve is deviated from the center of butterfly disc. When the valve is opened, the upper and lower ends of butterfly disc are no longer as laborious as the center line butterfly valve, but the friction with the seat still exists. The improved feature of double offset butterfly valve is that the stem axis deviates from the center of the disc and the center of the stem itself, just like the single eccentric butterfly valve. Such a structure can make the disc escape from the seat immediately after the valve is opened, and there will be no friction between the disc and the seat after the single eccentric butterfly valve is opened. Features of Double Offset Butterfly Valve:
1. The shaft and disc arrangement of ZECO double offset butterfly valve provides camming action to the disc which disengages from the seat at minimal rotation. This design minimizes war points at the top and bottom of the seat typical with conventional butterfly valves;
2. ZECO double offset butterfly valve has two offsets. First offset is that the shaft is positioned downstream of the center line of the seat. Second offset is that shaft is off center of the vertical axis of the seat;
3. ZECO double offset butterfly valve can have rubber seat, PTFE seat and fire safe PTFE seat.;
4. The fire safe seat of ZECO double offset butterfly valve with dual seal including primary PTFE seat insert and metal seat. In the event that the PTFE insert is destroyed, the secondary metal seat provides effective shut off.
