Dengue fever is a viral infectious disease that mainly occurs in tropical regions. Spread by Aedes species mosquito, Dengue virus infects millions of people every year.
Dengue viruses can divide into 1-4 serotypes based on the antigenicity of viral envelope protein E. Antigenic determinants of viral envelope protein E can induce the production of protective neutralizing antibodies and hemagglutination suppressive antibodies and may be involved in the development of Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and Dengue shock syndrome (DSS).
SEKBIO developed multiple antigens and antibodies for Dengue fever diagnostics, including Dengue NS1 Antibody, Recombinant Dengue Type I NS1 protein, Recombinant Dengue Type II NS1 protein, Recombinant Dengue Type III NS1 protein, Recombinant Dengue Type IV NS1 protein.

Dengue fever is an acute insect-borne infectious disease caused by the mosquito-borne dengue virus. Dengue virus infection can lead to latent infection, dengue fever, and dengue hemorrhagic fever. The typical clinical manifestations of dengue fever are rapid onset, high fever, headache, severe pain in muscles, bones, joints, skin rash, bleeding tendency, swollen lymph nodes, decreased white blood cell count, and thrombocytopenia in some patients. Dengue hemorrhagic fever is rare in my country.
Using ELISA to detect specific IgM antibodies in the serum of patients, positive results are helpful for the early diagnosis of dengue fever. If the dengue virus antigen is caught in the patient's serum, it can also be used as the basis for a definite diagnosis.
Dengue Antigen
According to the different antigenicity of viral envelope protein E, the dengue virus is divided into 1 to 4 serotypes. The antigenicity of each type of virus is crossed, but there is no crossover with other antigenic groups of Flaviviridae. The epitope of viral envelope protein E can induce the host to produce protective neutralizing antibodies and hemagglutination-inhibiting antibodies and may be involved in the occurrence of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS). The nonstructural proteins NS1 and NS3 are both immunoreactive and immunogenic and can induce protective immunity in mice against lethal challenge with homotypic dengue virus. NS1 is a soluble complement-binding antibody with type- and group-specific dengue virus epitopes.
