I really don't think it's going to be. There are various skills systems in Runescape which were outgrown by Runescape itself and they appear to be attempting to tackle aggressively. By way of example, in hindsight, skills like fletching and firemaking should likely have been aspects of a different ability, rather than an ability of their own, but in the time RS began, MMOs weren't nearly as entirely conceptualized. Dependent on the development course they're on, I anticipate that we'll see similar skill/combat combo reworks like the mining-smithing/melee transformation they pinpointed (no pun meant:P).

Shifting construction and crafting seems like the perfect way to top off those reworks. Trying to put them before another reworks want wind up in a not as developed end product. It is great to see that the OSRS platform obtaining some needed refinements to the ability. At this point, however, they appear to be on another, divergent path from RS3. I think that is a good thing for everyone.

I know they said it would be a great deal of work to switch the body model, but I don't see it being impossible to at least update the faces and attributes. It would not change the dimensions or height/position so it shouldn't influence any gear. Reminder: Chat-heads are a thing, and there is an insanely enormous amount of those. Consider your player kit: hairstyle, beard, hair colour. The majority of these would have to be changed to reflect the newest versions - also female personalities have horse legs. If they're going to update the head, they might as well update the body - which, again, is a huge undertaking.
