RUST REMOVAL AND MAINTENANCE METHOD OF CUSTOM METAL TROPHY
In the storage process of custom metal trophy, after being in contact with the atmosphere for a long time, traces of corrosion may appear on the surface, often forming a layer of oxidized patina, which is mainly copper oxide. If these substances cannot be removed, it may affect the overall vision of the metal trophy and may also reduce the life of the metal trophy. Now we will introduce how to remove the patina on the surface of the metal trophy.

1. Mechanical derusting method for trophy metal

It is a widely used method for removing rust. Its principle is to use impact and friction to effectively remove rust and its dirt. Commonly used tools for this method include portable electric grinding wheels, electric brushes, pneumatic brushes, and rust removal guns. The advantage of this method is that the rust removal quality and efficiency are high, but the disadvantage is that these tools also require manual operation, the labor intensity is relatively large, and it is not suitable for complex custom trophies, and it is not suitable for large-scale rust removal.

2. Chemical treatment method for trophy metal

The principle is to use acid to chemically react with the rust (oxide) on the surface of the custom trophies to be cleaned to dissolve it in the acid. In addition, the hydrogen generated by the action of the acid with the trophy metal causes the oxide scale to mechanically fall off.

3. Manual derusting method for trophy metal

It is the simplest method of removing rust. Use scraper, hand hammer, steel brush, emery cloth (paper), grinding wheel and other tools to knock, shovel, grind, scrape, etc. to remove rust. The advantages of this kind of interview are simple and easy to implement and low cost; the disadvantages are high labor intensity, low work efficiency, unstable quality, and poor labor environment.

4. Metal brightener for trophy metal

The use of metallic brightener is an oily brightener, which effectively cares for the metal surface, presents a bright and clean metallic luster, and leaves a protective film after use, which is suitable for the surface of metal trophy.

Before using the brightener, pour the stainless steel brightener into a watering can and shake it well. Spray an appropriate amount of metal trophy brightener on the surface at a distance of 15-20 cm from the surface; immediately (do not let the spray dry) wipe with a clean soft cloth until the surface is clean and bright. In case of stubborn stains, repeat the above steps.
