Traffic marking is the most common traffic facility. It not only makes our travel more orderly, but also guides the road for us to prevent traffic accidents. We all know that road marking is divided into cold paint marking and hot melt marking. The marking should be selected according to the ground. Today we will look at the difference between hot melt marking and cold paint marking.

1. Hot melt marking

Hot-melt road marking paint is divided into: hot-melt road marking paint, hot-melt raised road marking paint, hot-melt color non-slip road marking paint.

Hot melt marking construction process:

a. Reflective hot melt marking, using glass microbead primer and petroleum resin hot melt paint.

b. Put the paint in a hot melt machine and heat it. The temperature after melting is controlled between 180 degrees Celsius and 220 degrees Celsius, and it is fully stirred for about 10 minutes before coating.

c. Mark the position and measure it, press the position and figure indicated by the design icon, and then apply paint primer on the marked figure.

d. The hot-melt coating can be applied after the primer is dry, and sprinkle reflective glass beads for road marking paint to increase night recognition. The marking thickness is 150mm-180mm.

2. Cold paint marking

Cold spray type marking paint is divided into: two-component cold spray type marking paint, two-component scratch coat type marking paint, two-component structure type marking paint, two-component color non-slip pavement marking paint, water-based pavement marking paint, normal temperature road marking paint, fluorescent paint, all-weather reflective marking paint.

Some roads need special cold paint, manual spraying, uniform thickness and clear color. Like parking spaces, no-stop yellow line areas, passage lines, diversion belts, guide arrows etc. You can use cold paint to mark and start construction.
