WHO、規制決議を延期 海外渡航して臓器移植
(2009年05月08日)004782009年05月08日朝刊1総合00100519文字【ジュネーブ＝井田香奈子】世界保健機関（WHO）は7日、ジュネーブで18日から開く総会で予定されていた、海外に渡り臓器移植を受けることを規制する決議の採択を先送りすることを決めた。来年の総会以降にずれ込む見通しだ。＝4面に関係記事
出席する加盟国の保健担当相や高官らは、各国で新型の豚インフルエンザ対策を担当する責任者でもあり、ジュネーブに長期間留め置けないとの判断から、総会期間を予定の10日間から5日間に短縮することにしたため。
同日、WHOのマーガレット・チャン事務局長と各国代表部が協議し、合意した。
日本では、海外に渡って移植を受けることがWHOの決議でいっそう難しくなるとの見通しが強まり、今春から、現行の臓器移植法を改正する論議が国会で本格化した。国会に提出されている三つの改正案のほか、新たな案の検討を急ぐ議員らもいる。衆院厚生労働委員会は小委員会での議論を終え、11日以降、厚労委での審議に入る予定。
厚労委の理事の一人は「渡航移植に依存する状況は好ましくない」として、海外の動きにかかわらず今国会で結論を出すべきだと主張するが、もともと慎重な論議を訴える議員も少なくない。WHOの動向は国会審議にも影響を与えそうだ。
