臓器移植法改正「国会で筋道を」 舛添厚労相・細田自民幹事長
(2009年05月08日)004802009年05月08日夕刊2総合01000378文字世界保健機関（WHO）が5月に予定していた臓器の渡航移植を規制する決議の採択を先送りしたことについて、舛添厚生労働相は8日の閣議後会見で「WHOは新型インフルエンザの対応で精いっぱいなので、やむを得ないかなと思う。ただ、日本の国会は国会できちんと審議すべきだ」と述べ、臓器移植法の改正論議を先送りすべきではないとの考えを示した。さらに「一国会議員の立場」と断ったうえで「一日も早く議員のみんなで議論をして、臓器移植の手法などについて、国民のコンセンサスを得るということが重要だ」と話した。
一方、自民党の細田博之幹事長は8日の記者会見で、臓器移植法改正について「今国会で方向・筋道をきちんとつけて、日本人が海外からの臓器移植に過大に頼ることを避ける措置をとっておく必要がある」と語り、WHOの決定にかかわらず、改正案の成立を目指すべきだとの考えを示した。
