ベトナム系アメリカ人アーティストであり土木技師でもあるンゴは、特許登録済みの(lemma system)を使って事業を始める。これは水生植物ウキクサ(レムネイシー)を使ってゴミをたんぱく質豊富な動物の飼料に変える仕組みである。
「Devil's Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant」はヘビ型のアースワークであり、60エーカーの広さを持つ下水処理工場でもある。この施設は地元にとっては親水公園の役割も果たしており、訪問者に環境や土壌のついての情報を提供し、「浄水場の機能えお果たす一方で、地元に美と意味を与えている」
