Specifically, dermal density, skin elasticity, and length of fine wrinkles were measured in subjects treated with apigenin cream or a control cream without apigenin. Additionally, studies have examined the effects of apigenin-containing creams on skin texture, moisture, and transepidermal water loss (TEWL). From these experiments, we found that apigenin-containing creams increased dermal density and elasticity and reduced the length of fine wrinkles. It also improves skin evenness, moisture content and TEWL. These results clearly demonstrate the biological role of apigenin, which is apigenin anti aging.
